All our coaches are at least Level 2 LTA approved coaches that have undergone full DBS checks.
DBS is the new name for CRB checks and stands for Disclosure and Barring Service.
Our coaches mostly teach within your local tennis clubs and are used to working with children from 3 upwards. Luke du Casse, the Head Coach and Director at Tennis4Kids has been Head Coach at Great Missenden Lawn Tennis Club for 3 years and has been teaching tennis for 9 years. And not only that he’s a dad too!
The key is, we are not necessarily here to generate the next Wimbledon Champs, but we all have a passion for engaging children in the game of tennis and this starts here.
All coaches are trained to make the game fun, to vary the sessions, to introduce children to moving not just forwards, but backwards and sidewards, controlling a ball at their feet or with a racket, bouncing and catching balls, a whole repertoire of activities to teach children to be alert, agile and athletic.
Our coaches usually have children of their own and understand how children respond when something like this is fun.
